Hi

This is A.MURALI KRISHNA. I attended VERIZON recruitment process on 13-5-2008 in Hyderabad

In this off campus recruitment event: Eligibility is 70% throughout academics.

Around 2500 students came for this event but short listed persons for the written test is 70 only. And I am also not qualified in the written test.

The Written Test consists of 4 sections and the time limit is 1.10 min
1) English section 20q-15min
2) reasoning section 25q 30min
3) attention details 20Q -10min
4) technical test 10Q -15min

The written test was conducted by MERITTRAC

1) First section consists of articles (5Q ), prepositions(5Q), and 2 essays – 10Q

2) Second section consists of reasoning which includes Venn diagrams 5Q, data sufficiency 5Q, cubes 5Q, puzzle 5Q (combination of seating arrangement and blood relations) And another 5 questions on something sorry friends I cannot remember

3) Third section consists of questions on attention to details These are very easy but the time is less In this around 5 questions are like this below http://www.TowardsJob.com

And another 7 questions on the arithmetic conversion like * is represented as +, – is represented as +, like that And 6 questions on puzzle type. Here he gave some conditions according to that conditions we must conclude the answer which satisfied above given conditions

4) Fourth section consists of questions on C (4Q), data structures (5Q) but THESE ARE VERY LENGTHY. In this we must find code segment in data structures questions.

Hi I am Suneel Dixit I got selected in Verizon Data Services. I am providing the full selected procedure details

Initially they call for Written examination. They normally ask 75 questions out of which 65 questions are of aptitude type and rest 10 are from C and Data Structures. What i believe anyone should attempt around 90% of the questions. C part is most important to clear. There is no negative Marking

When u clear written examination they call for technical interview. In Technical Interview they query about the final year project which u have developed sometimes they ask about coding and puzzles also. Prepare C and Data Structures well to crack the interview. but if ur project is from different domain then prepare accourding to it. Interview round will last for around 30minutes to 1 hour. Believe me its not too tough to crack it

But remember one thing if ur selected in one comp then don’t mention it . It may prove disastrous for u . after technical interview if ur thru then they let u to the HR Round . HR is just a formality Once technical is clear it means u r at Verizon. HR will simply handover a bag to u as a gift from Verizon.

There were 4 rounds in the written paper
1.Verbal Ability Test-20 min
2.Numerical Aptitude-30 min
3.Detail Assessment test-20 min
4.C and Data Structure-10 min

Verbal Ability Test
There were total 20 questions in this part. first 10 were fill in the blanks with preposition and article simple ones. Then there were 2 passages n read them once u would be able to answer all the questions… jus be attentive n have patience

Numerical Aptitude
1.venn diagram related question…5
2.then which of the following is true. that replacement questions as / stands for *….etc etc
3.then a question in which nos were replaced by symbols in a special pattern stay cool and attempt’s you would be able to

Detail Assessment
1.This section is the easiest one but time consuming.. so be fast at the same time assess correctly
2.nos will be given n asked if they r same…

Some codes were given and output was to be determined.. then there were questions related to writing missing codes.. options were provided. one question was based on TREE from data structure.. another on directed graph..
